If producers are the new kings of pop, then UK studio monster Switch (aka Solid Groove) wears the crown. Switch co-produced M.I.A.'s Kala, founded the Dubsided label, works regularly with Sinden, and remixes the sh*t out of everyone else — including Nine Inch Nails and Santogold, to name a few. Tonight, the musical polymath pleases bass-heads, pop stars, and electro-freaks alike with jackin' booty music that'll spatter some dirt on the planetarium's pristine walls. Repping for the locals, DJs Are Not Rockstars resident dreamboat DJ Van Scott brings enough nouveau-house glamour that you might have to re-apply your galactic body glitter throughout the evening. Fuevoz VJs and C-TRL feed videoheads some appropriately far-out visuals.
