I Without End, the title piece of Laleh Khorramian's second solo show at Salon 94 Freemans, is a three-channel video projection that reads like a multimedia scroll. A sparse, mesmerizing soundtrack marks time as two lovers, cut from orange peels, enjoy a prolonged moment of ecstasy — until the tryst passes, and the lovers dry up and curl backwards, exposing their innards. Khorramian brings a narrative aspect to her paintings, as well, which are often composed of multiple panels. In addition to the video, the show includes a series of related drawings, a companion sculpture called Green as a Heart, and two landscape paintings.
