Although Mush records is often associated with trippy electro hip-hop, post-shoegaze duo Lymbyc Systym remind us that the label has a softer side. At times comparable to Morr Music "emotronica" acts, the group makes deep, introspective, and utterly distinct four-minute soundtracks out of otherwise unassuming, melodic IDM. Performing alongside the band tonight, acclaimed Wham City representatives Videohippos do Baltimore proud with a set of A/V-adorned indie-electro punk. Prepare for an erratic evening — as the post-psychedelic synth-pop and sensitive electronic textures converge, you're as likely to find yourself shedding a tear as slamming a beer.
