Frequent partner charity: water (Flavorpill's favorite world improvers) teams up with Saks Fifth Avenue to co-host tonight's Summer Gala benefit. The goal of the swanky soiree is to raise $100,000 to build wells in underprivileged communities in Africa, India, and Central America. You can get your party on with yummy cocktails and tunes by indie-folk Aussies the Kin, but the real highlight of the evening is the multi-media recap of the well-building itself. (It features charity: water founder and former NYC party promoter Scott Harrison, who participates in many of the construction projects personally.) The ticket price seems paltry compared to the dose of good karma that you'll take home with you.
