Rooftop Films Panorama

There truly may be no better way to herald both the American childhood of the '70s and summer than viewing a movie outside. Back in the heyday of the drive-in, it didn't matter how rank the feature was, so long as you were in good company and twilight had already passed. The Rooftop Films Series recreates that experience — except with excellent films. This week alone, they host Making the Mission, a short-films festival accompanied live by country goths O'Death; Captured, a doc following LES activist and documentarian Clayton Patterson, with live music from A.R.E. Weapons; and Industriance, a short-film fest and panel discussion about communities in transition.

Note: Free booze is provided each night by Radeberger beer and Brooklyn Oenology.
