Respect, the newest entry in the deluge of summer parties, was originally founded in Paris by three Frenchmen who booked everyone from Daft Punk and Jacques Lu Cont to David Mancuso and François K. Seven years later, the trio has taken its party around the world (to Tokyo, Oslo, and everywhere in between) and released three acclaimed compilation CDs; now, Respect returns to NYC. The Été d'Amour party features an early soiree thrown by underground rag Frank 151 and a disco-house DJ set from DFA darling Juan McLean, while resident DJs Alex from Tokyo and Neil Aline mix it up Paris-meets-Ibiza style. The bangin' roster of eclectic guests is sure keep this particular Summer of Love going with a couple of exclusives — both in and out of doors.
