Some soirees at Water Taxi Beach are getting a bad rap; fortunately, Justin Carter, the Todd P of techno, is curating this installment, guaranteeing that the tunes and crowd are top. Helping the cause is an appearance from Detroit's Kenny Dixon Jr., better known as Moodymann. The talented DJ, producer, and live performer takes to the decks to show off his blend of house and techno, deeply rooted in jazz and motor-city soul. It should help make the beach feel like the welcome respite from city stress it was designed to be.
