If these events sound appealing even if you don't know what they are, you probably don't need much convincing to attend this year's Come Out & Play Festival. But in case you do, the aforementioned activities entail stuffing your face in Tompkins Square Park, whacking things with sticks, and mini-golfing your way across the Lower East Side, respectively. Preeminent alternative bookstore Bluestockings is the headquarters for three days of awesome interactive events, all of which combine socializing and city exploration. So if you'd rather meet new people during a live-action murder mystery than at a singles bar, Come Out & Play is not to be missed.
