The Museum of Comics and Cartoon Art's annual Art Festival is a hot-ticket fundraiser for the pioneering museum and its featured medium. Now in its seventh year, the weekend-long celebration brings together the industry's best talents — illustrators to animators, filmmakers to writers — for an artistic orgy of information and exaltation. This year's events includes a secret history of Batman in Japan, an assembly of Nordic animated shorts, a lecture by David Hajdu (author of The Ten-Cent Plague), and a ceremony to honor the 2008 Art Festival Award-recipient, Bill Plympton.
