Bill Moyers, Moyers on Democracy
Tuesday July 1, 2008 (7pm)

For nearly 40 years, Bill Moyers has expanded the scope of television journalism. He began his career as a press secretary to President Lyndon Johnson, and emerged as an important public voice during the '70s and '80s, addressing national concerns in a thoughtful, accessible style. On his acclaimed PBS interview series, Moyers presented luminaries such as Noam Chomsky, Toni Morrison, and Joseph Campbell to an intellectually starved nation. Also an established print journalist, he continues to publish on a dizzying array of topics — religion, poetry, and politics, to name a few. Tonight, he discusses his most recent work, Moyers on Democracy, and is sure to impart his usual wisdom.
