Music: Rock/Pop Laurie Anderson: Homeland

Music and performance maverick Laurie Anderson presents her most political work to date as part of the Lincoln Center Festival. Featuring innovative electronic grooves, powerful songwriting, and Anderson's cracked voice, Homeland explores the current state of 21st-century America — from the conflict between personal freedom and national security to the language of the war on terror — providing a prescient take on the country's values. She's accompanied by violist Eyvind Kang, drummer Joey Baron, bassist Greg Cohen, and multi-instrumentalist Rob Burger.
