Music: Electronic River to River presents Kieran Hebden and Steve Reid: Devil's Music

Wizened old New York meets fresh-faced bedsit Putney in this unlikely combination of experimental musicians. With support from Kieran Hebden, Steve Reid treats us to barrages of wild, improvised drums and fearsome, ear-splitting electronic twiddlery. At first listen, the cacophony seems to have little form; yet, in the same instance, a discordant whole transports the listener to the farthest reaches of Reid and Hebden's warped minds. Scan the horizon for intrusive blips, belly-aching bass lines, and a melee of smashed hi-hat and rolling toms.
