It's been a whirlwind year for Jacksonville's Black Kids: after lighting up the blogosphere on the strength of a four-song demo, the Kids found themselves with a major-labor deal and an opening slot on Cut Copy's US tour. While its meteoric rise may have prompted a bit of backlash, few can deny the pure fun of the Cure-infused hooks on the band's just-released debut, Partie Traumatic. Tonight, the group tries to live up to the hype with a headlining gig alongside current blog-hype torch bearer Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson.
