Underworld have always had a strong visual presence, from Karl Hyde and Rick Smith's mesmerizing live shows to their packaging design, videos, and multimedia installations. The creative engine lies in their ongoing, ever-evolving dialogue with Tomato, a London-based design firm. The fruits of this partnership were highlighted in 2000's Everything, Everything DVD, but also can be seen in Underworld/Tomato's gallery projects. Mirroring a successful installation in Tokyo, this "art jam" is a dynamic, fluid work. Text, photographs, sound installations, and video are rotated, reinterpreted, and removed, with occasional scavenger hunts through the city for new materials and inspiration.
