More Flavor: Party The Bronx Museum and African Film Festival present Africanísimo! Outdoor Film Screenings

Highlighting music, film, and performance art, Africanísimo! is an opportunity to situate and celebrate the cultural contributions of Africa within a global context. The Bronx Museum's First Fridays events series begins with sets by fusion DJ Chris Annibell and Magbana Drum & Dance, whose energetic multidisciplinary productions draw from modern choreography and West African traditions alike. Following the performances, African Film Festival screens Djibril Diop Mambety's critically acclaimed study of Senegalese street children, The Little Girl Who Sold the Sun, as well as an accompanying making-of documentary.
