Music: Experimental Au w/ Mofongo

As Au, Portland multi-instrumentalist Luke Wyland and his revolving roster of collaborators swerve between ecstatic pop blends (such as the Balkan-infused "RR vs D") and minimalist-driven experimental compositions reminiscent of Steve Reich and Brian Eno. Dense blends of frenzied percussion, howling choruses, and waltzing brass create an immersive and complex strata of sound, while opener Mofongo brings experimental music into the electronic realm, toying with stray sounds and ambient melodies.
