Summer in the city can be rough, and global warming's not helping. But if you can't escape entirely, at least hop the train to Queens, where P.S.1 has been transformed into an urban farmland by the WORK Architecture Company. While you're grazing, check headliners Chuck Treece's McRad's blazing guitar riffs and soulful shoegazers Apollo Heights. Between sets, duck into the museum itself for some shelter from the sun as well as some really trippy Finnish art. Curators Black Rock Coalition and King Britt's Five Six Media promise a progressive day out.
