But with their new anthology, Who Can Save Us Now?: Brand-New Superheroes and Their Amazing (Short) Stories, editors Owen King and John McNally bring us a comedic (and often touching) collection of complicated heroes to match our complicated times. With a solid roster of authors including Tom Bissell and Jim Shepard, the compilation covers everything from the archetypal "creepy superhero" to a crusader named after the meerkat. Tonight, King and McNally host a reading of superhuman tales by some of the book's contributors.
