More Flavor: City Gem The Ghosts of Greenwich Village Scavenger Hunt

Halloween is still a couple months away, but it's not too early to have some creepy fun. Starting in Washington Square Park (which incidentally was used as a mass grave during the yellow-fever epidemics of the early 19th century), teams of up to six people meander through Greenwich Village searching for the answers to a list of cryptic riddles. This evening hunt is not for the faint of heart, requiring flashlights and taking participants through the dingy haunts of famous, departed souls — including Edgar Allan Poe, Washington Irving, Mark Twain, and many others.
