Holger Zilske has spent the last decade churning out a seemingly endless stream of crisp percussion, detuned synths, and massive bass lines as one half of Smash TV. As one of minimal techno's first marquee names, Smash TV cemented their star status with nearly 30 releases on Berlin label Bpitch Control. The departure of Zilske's partner Michael Shmidt left Smash TV a one-man project, but that didn't slow him down. If anything, he's doubled his output: in March, he issued Locomotive Breath as Smash TV and From Birds and Bees under his own name.
