Mercury Rev's Trip Over the Light Fantastic

Tonight, John Zorn's tiny venue the Stone hosts Mercury Rev for an experimental, improvisational performance, in which the psychedelic indie rockers collaborate with brainwave-feedback musician Alex Chechile and digital-art collective feedtank. It's a big month for Mercury Rev, who have two new albums coming out on September 29: Strange Attractor, a free, download-only album, and Snowflake Midnight, a conventional physical release. Tickets for the Stone are sold only at the door the night of the show, so show up early and don't forget to pre-party: Zorn's venue doesn't sell drinks or food.
