Performing Arts: Spoken Word NY GrandSLAM Championship: Crossing the Line

Tonight, ten StorySLAM champions battle it out, linguistically speaking, to be the last storyteller standing. Each tells a story on the theme of crossing the line and not being able to turn back, so expect disregarded ultimatums, pushed boundaries, and jumped borders. As at all Moth shows, reading from a script is strictly prohibited. Host Dan Kennedy (Rock On) keeps the evening moving and unleashes a story or two of his own. Keep your eye on the talent in the room, as you never know where it'll turn up later: the last winner, James Braly, just finished an off-Broadway run with his very funny one-man show Life in a Marital Institution.
