Taking cues from classical tunes, he creates atmospheric compositions that range from reflective and solemn to hard-jackin' rave anthems. Mr. Mau5 one-ups Daft Punk's infamous metallic helmets by donning a giant, Mickey-esque head that looks like Pacman if he sprouted ears, widened his eyes, and emited colored lights. Deadmau5 picked up a slew of honors at this year's Beatport Music Awards, including the impressive title of "Most influential, forward-thinking and relevant person." Tonight, he gets support from local house slingers Sleepy & Boo.
