Fresh off back-to-back appearances on Mary Anne Hobbs' influential BBC Radio show, Darkstar and Oneman make their way into Love's booth. Oneman's keen selection and superb mixing skills have made him a favorite on Rinse FM, where he showcases a wealth of underground UK sounds, from garage and two-step to dubstep, grime, and hip-hop. Darkstar, meanwhile, have quietly released some of the strangest and most exciting records of the year on Clandestine Cultivations and Kode9's Hyperdub label. Full of blippy, 8-bit synths, vocoded vocals, and mutated bass lines, their tracks always surprise. To all those who missed the bass pressure in a Dub War-less August, it's back on tonight.
