A change of season is a perfect excuse for a change of wardrobe — especially when it's easy on your weathered New York wallet. For the next two weeks, Flavorpill's favorite local AIDS-service organization, Housing Works, hosts its annual fall-fashion extravaganza — cleaning out each of its seven thrift stores and re-stocking with discount designer duds. Expect top-notch 'hood castoffs like trendy Chelsea furniture, Upper East Side throwbacks, and artistic Brooklyn jewelry. And when you realize that each piece you buy is helping to clothe someone else, it's even harder than usual to say no to shopping.
