The annual Prelude festival is a free sneak peek of the upcoming experimental-theatre season. Under the auspices of the CUNY Graduate Center's theatre program, a curatorial committee cherry-picks new and established groups and artists to present their works-in-progress, as well as participate in extra-credit intellectual stimulation (read: panel discussions). The participant list is long, and includes such engaging figures as Neal Medlyn, Richard Foreman, and Joyce Cho.
