Sep 25, 2008 – Oct 25, 2008
Tuesdays–Saturdays (noon–6pm)
Eyebeam continues to mix high art and high technology with Untethered: A Sculpture Garden of Readymades, which explores the ways in which common modern-day objects are bestowed with a little extra aesthetic value. Surreal, fully functional installations on display include a piano that plays the Internet and a photocopier that reads the sky. There are workshops (Oct 14) for DIY techno-tinkerers interested in open-source systems (handy for turning your iPod into an instrument), and a musical showcase (Oct 21) for those who have mastered their hacks and are ready to make the world dance to their unique sounds.
