Love children of the UK's infamous YBA, a host of British artists swarm New York for a two-week show of guerrilla wheatpasting, collage, stencil, and spray paint. Covered in a billboard-size image by France's JR, Lazarides' temporary space on the Bowery is hard to miss. Jonathan Yeo's highly publicized portrait of President Bush hangs in the window, composed of fleshy clippings from porno mags. (Duplicates of a similar collage picturing Paris Hilton are for sale, though sadly, Damien Hirst snatched up the original.) Inside, BAST hangs beside the melting, monochrome cartoons of Todd James, while another floor of all stars awaits downstairs.
