More Flavor: Festival Fort Tryon Medieval Festival

Spend 145 minutes with George A. Romero's non-zombie film Knightriders (1981) and your whole attitude toward dudes who put on armor and fake beards and sprinkle their sentences with "thee" and "thou" completely changes. The nine-to-five thing just isn't their scene, man, and did you get a look at the chick playing Guinevere? Total babe. Today's Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park is a family event featuring magic, lute concerts, and jesters; and as you take in the jousting segment of the festivities, keep in mind that these guys are living the dream for one glorious day — even if they have to go back to their cubicles tomorrow.
