Hot on the sparkling heels of the West Indian Day Parade and Carnival comes another celebration of culture. In its fifth year, Celebrate México Now is NYC's weeklong tribute to Mexican art, music, film, food, and heritage. The festival features Latin/Britney mashups (courtesy of Nacotheque's Amylu), panel discussions, poetry readings, tasting menus at New York's best Mexican restaurants, and a performance by Lila Downs. Another highlight is photography exhibit The Other Lado, an image-based dialogue between NYC subway passengers and those who ride the metro in Mexico City.
