Erik Lindman is a talented young artist whose work reflects both a mature sensibility and a goofy sense of humor. House Wine, House Music, his first solo show, juxtaposes a minimalist and often geometric aesthetic with a penchant for jokey titles; Trill features two perfect red dots in a luminous field of blue, while Joe Yellow Just Took My Heart by Making It Into the Top 100 is composed of a rainbow-patterned triangle slicing into a paint-flecked maroon square. While engaging, the artist's work eschews explanation, and he's reluctant to offer any; despite his silly streak, Lindman prefers to "say as little as possible."
