In just over a decade, Andrew Bird has transitioned from swing revivalist with the Squirrel Nut Zippers to solo indie pop hero. Bird's music has married classical violin training and pop sensibilities, making for stunning results. This is especially apparent on Noble Beast, his new album featuring lush, head-bopping songs like "Anonanimal" and "Oh No." While Bird's nearly-solo shows are famous for their use of live looping to flesh out his sound, he'll get a little help on stage tonight from his opening act, Anticon beatmaster Martin Dosh.
