The Panic in Needle Park (1971)

Al Pacino's second film appearance finds him as a wily hustler, hunting for skag, wearing a headband, and palling around with bums and tweakers in NYC's Sherman Square. Kitty Winn drags her feet alongside, winning Best Actress at Cannes for her realistic, if infuriating, portrayal of guileless, depressed Helen, who becomes mired in the mucky self-absorption of addiction. The script, complete with stealing and street-walking, was penned by the husband and wife team of Joan Didion and John Gregory Dunne. Director Jerry Schatzberg gives the film its documentary treatment, favoring a shaky camera style and omitting music throughout the epic quest for bread.

I hope these films let people know just how hard it is to be a junkie. Being addicted to drugs and alcohol can kill you and those people around you. Get in a Alcohol rehab centers and save your life as soon as you can.
