Former Batsheva Ensemble dancer Andrea Miller comes to Joyce Soho tonight, hot off being named one of "25 to Watch" in this month's Dance magazine. It's easy to see why. With Gallim Dance, her explosive choreography blends playful physicality with subtle moments of introspection, set to indie tunes from Beirut and Wolf Parade. This ten-day engagement is divided into two programs: the world premiere of Blush, where six dancers clad in white body paint explore the double-edged sword of intimacy and instability; and a return engagement of Miller's I Can See Myself in Your Pupil, a dance in seven vignettes that illustrates the seductive passion of eye contact and the uneasiness that can come from really seeing someone.
