Following last July's presentation of Deadpan, Creative Time kicks off the fall with video art by three up-and-coming artists on MTV's outdoor HD screen. Martha Colburn shows Triumph of the Wild, a retelling of three historic wars as attacks by man on nature. In Bestué-Vives' looping Proteo, a running figure transforms from man to horse to car, and so on. The human-and-beast theme carries over to Gonzalo Lebrija's Asterión, which lenses a businessman mounting a bull for an evening rodeo ride; he loses grip of his briefcase, setting off a flurry of papers in a slow-motion dance.
