Joe's Pub says…

"transporting...beautiful and inspired sounds" -- Village Voice

"Terry Dame is one of those eccentric musicians for whom composing isn't enough, she has to create new instruments as well. A downtown fixture." Time Out NY

Celebrating the release of their new Cd "Life on Marz", Terry Dame & Electric Junkyard Gamelan perform original groove driven music on invented instruments.  Hypnotizing melodies and syncopated strings float over funky bass lines and layers of interlocking rhythms all performed on Dame's original musical contraptions such as the Kachapitar, the Rubarb, Terraphone and Clayrimba.

Gina Leishman is a multi-instrumentalist composer and singer, perhaps best known as co-leader of the veteran all-star horn ensemble Kamikaze Ground Crew.  Equally at home playing saxophone, piano, baritone ukulele, the sui generis glass tiers, or singing, her newest project is rooted is her on-going fascination with glass, and the outer extremities of the harmonic spectrum. Special guests may include Marcus Rojas, tuba, Marika Hughes, cello, and Charlie Burnham, violin.
