Some underground rappers are "underground" simply because no one's heard of them. Then there are the artists that you will never hear on Z100: the raw, lo-fi, no bs MCs. The artists gathering for Audile Treat' showcase are distinctly members of the second group. The lineup features living legends like Sadat X of Brand Nubian, Souls of Mischief (who were part of the Pharcyde), and Supastition, alongside newcomers like Tanya Morgan, Oddisee, and Finale. Be sure to check out Illa J as well — even if his main strength is the unprecedented access he has to his older brother's (the late J Dilla) catalog, that's still quite a strength.
