The 26 year-old indie/folk songwriter just released Songs of Fear, an electric follow-up to his acoustic, Dylanesque self-titled debut. Whether plugged or unplugged, Miles delivers heart-felt songs tinged with retro undertones that make a powerful impact. Staten Islanders Cymbals Eat Guitars evoke '90s indie rock gods Pavement and Built to Spill with tuneful melodies mixed with distortion and sound exploration.
