LA-based painter, designer, and merchandising genius Gary Baseman curates a crowded group show on the topic of individual identity. His thematic premise is deceptively simple: he asked 40-plus artists to represent themselves in any way but the traditional self-portrait, saying, "They might imagine themselves as anyone or anything — a wolf, a cupcake, a mermaid, even a skyscraper."
