A set-in-stone icon on the performance-art timeline, Marina Abramović has put her body through long, intensive physical tests in search of that eureka moment. Tonight, the Belgrade native talks with art historian Jovana Stokić about performance in a gallery setting — among other aesthetic topics. Beside that back-and-forth, Location One screens footage of her radical group exhibition for which the works inside the Manchester Whitworth Art Gallery were removed to make room for a series of expressive acts. The evening also marks the launch of the Abramović Studio, an educative space where performance art can flourish.
