During her residency Joyce is exploring ideas from a recent trip to Japan where she studied Noh dance, music, and chants. hope will include three short vignettes inspired by Noh postures, gestures, and theories including deliberateness, brevity, suppression, and abstraction. The showing will be performed by Joyce, along with Merceditas Mañago-Alexander, Andrea Johnson, and Marýa Wethers.
