Asia Society and Museum says…

Explore a rare assemblage of some of the world’s finest sculptures, Chola bronzes. This exhibition considers the exquisitely beautiful cast bronze sculptures in relation to the Hindu tradition of bhakti (devotion). The depiction of itinerant poet-saints during the Chola period reflects the importance of these figures in promoting bhakti and the growth of Hindu temples.
