Among Eryc Taylor and company's four new works is the high-flying Ginga, a duet of theatrical Afro-Brazilian capoeira set to Katy Perry. Then there's Somewhere/Out There, in which Taylor's movement combinations create the illusion of there being more than five dancers onstage. The other routines on the program are equally provocative: The Look is a classical solo inspired by Dusty Springfield's signature tune, while Eminent Domain is a "black and white" neoclassical ballet for six ballerinas who act as independent and assured forms in space.
