Note:
For this exhibition, Pablo Bronstein (born in 1977) has created two new bodies of work that address the nature of the museum. Several large ink drawings portray a mythical history of the Met, imagining the building under construction and giant works of art being transported or installed. In parallel, a series of smaller digital images focus on a hypothetical future of the Museum. The exhibition is the sixth in an ongoing series highlighting the work of contemporary artists that has featured Tony Oursler, Kara Walker, Neo Rauch, Tara Donovan, and Raqib Shaw.
