It's been a whopping 150 years since Charles Darwin penned On the Origin of Species, the groundbreaking treatise on evolution. Though his work was fiercely controversial at the time (and remains so in some parts), it has since become a celebrated instance of the rigors of the scientific method. To celebrate the anniversary, nonprofit Reading Odyssey is hosting a series of lectures on the impact and continued relevance of Darwin's work. Variation is the second in the four-part series and the only one taking place in New York City. It's the perfect chance to let your inner science geek out to play.
