The Metropolitan Museum of Art says…

The Met presents this film made by the great Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa (1910–1998) to accompany the special exhibition Art of the Samurai: Japanese Arms and Armor, 1156–1868, on view through January 10, 2010. The Hidden Fortress takes place after a disastrous battle, when a famous general recruits two hapless farmers to help in the daring rescue of a princess and her family fortune. One of George Lucas’s sources for the Star Wars films. The screening will take place in the Met's Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at 6 p.m.

Tickets for this screening are $15 and are available by clicking here.
