This two-part evening starts at 6 pm at The Metropolitan Museum of Art as you explore the classic black and white street photography of Robert Frank, drawn from his photo book The Americans, published in 1959 following a road trip around America.

Then head across the park to Symphony Space, where, at 8 pm, you'll hear performances of stories by Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, Aleksandar Hemon and others that resonate with the images, and get an entirely new perspective on both the visual and written works. Performers include Boyd Gaines (Gypsy) and Condola Rashad (Lynn Nottage's Ruined).
