Pianist Erik Deutsch, known for playing with such artists as Norah Jones, the Charlie Hunter Trio, Erin McKeown and Scott Amendola, celebrates the release of his new album, Hush Money. The new record is a foray into the cinematic side of Deutsch's compositional style: synthesizers, dreamy reeds and warm analog tape ooze into the psychedelic soundscape of chamber-rock songs. It features a talented cast of some of New York's best players including Mike McGinnis (reeds), Sara Schoenbeck (bassoon), Jonathan Goldberger (guitar), Jonti Siman (bass), Marc Dalio (drums) and special guests Eric Biondo (trumpet) and Barry Saunders (bari sax).
Brooklyn singer-songwriter Sasha Dobson and guitarist Jefferson Hamer open the show with their brand of Americana roots music.
