Christina and Amy are lifelong best friends, but the two couldn’t be more different. Christina comes from a wealthy but emotionally distant family, doesn’t work, and goes through men like toilet paper; Amy, conversely, is over men and decides to find “freedom in obedience” by joining a convent. Before she does so, however, Christina is there to make sure she has “one last night of revelry." Throughout, first-time playwright Melanie Angelina Maras treats her subject with a knowing hand, one able to balance scenes of complex, painful realism with others that are very funny.
