Tonight, the club where "Britpop was born" is settling into the Lower East Side, making friends of London and New York's distinct brands of indie rock. Blow Up has been one of the UK's most influential club nights since its early-'90s inception, and has seen regulars including Blur, Pulp, Suede, the Buzzcocks, and the Jesus and Mary Chain. To celebrate its 16th anniversary, Blow Up saves you a trip across the pond by setting up at 200 Orchard. Founder Paul Tunkin spins a mix of all things British, ensuring that new and old alike, Blow Up keeps doing what it does best: making waves.
